The Paula Takacs Foundation

for Sarcoma Research

Events

I am so excited to share that the inaugural 2011 Sarcoma Stomp was a huge success thanks to the great efforts of many volunteers and a generous and energetic spirit of the over 500 in attendance. What a great sense of community as people from all over the country shared in the joy together of raising money for sarcoma research. We had a number of survivors as well as family members of those impacted by sarcoma, and it was an honor to meet them and have them at the Stomp. The Stomp was held at the picturesque McAlpine Creek Greenway in Charlotte, NC and included both a 5K run and 3K walk. To further help us to raise money for sarcoma research, we even had a number of children create lemonade stands, which completely touched our hearts! At this point, we have raised just over $100,000 before expenses, which far surpassed anything I could have imagined. Many thanks to all you who made this possible. I am humbled and forever grateful!

Play for Paula

On July 24th, tennis players at Carmel Country Club gathered to raise money, while also enjoying tennis, for the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research with the event, Play for Paula. This fun and philanthropic event was enjoyed by all and was complete with a hat decorating contest and raffle. Through the generous donations of both participants and those unable to attend, over $3,000 was raised! A great big thank you goes out to all those who made this event possible!
