We’re proud to have been chosen as the beneficiary for the 1.43 mile Love Walk for Amy, July 6-10, 2020.
Love. It’s a small word that can change the world.
Amy Mahaffey’s life epitomized love — the love she showed to her husband, the love she showed her children, the love she showed her parents, the love she showed her friends, the love she showed her church, the love she showed her community. Love flowed through Amy. It was impossible to be around her without being touched by its positivity, sweetness, grace and courage. The love that she displayed in the face of extreme adversity changed the world of everyone she touched. Amy’s family is a product and living legacy of her love.
This year, in celebration of love, we invite friends of the Mahaffey family to walk 1.43 miles during the week of Amy’s Birthday, July 6-10. As you walk 1.43 miles, the numeric symbol for the phrase “I love you”, take a moment to reflect on the transformative power of love. It is love, it was love and it will always be love that makes the biggest difference in our world. Walk with someone you love. Talk to someone you love who might be far away. Like Amy, live life embodying love.
