Kindermourn

KinderMourn provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.

Since 1978, KinderMourn has been a light in the darkest of times.

This organization provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.

Grief can be an overwhelming experience. For bereaved parents and grieving children, emotions following the death of a loved one can be isolating, confusing, devastating and life-altering. At KinderMourn, bereaved parents and children have the opportunity to participate in support groups and other counseling programs where they find encouragement and healthy coping skills for dealing with grief. They are given the freedom to grieve in their own way, at their own pace, and ultimately learn that hope and healing are possible.

All support services are provided by professional grief counselors. No one is turned away for inability to pay; they care for all who need support and families pay what they can afford. KinderMourn offers a sliding fee scale and need-based scholarships.
