Growing Hope Through Art

Through the Growing Hope Through Art program, a fundraising arm the Paula Takacs Foundation, we can knit together our community at large in understanding, awareness, and purpose. These powerful art installations forever stand as a symbol of our commitment to funding sarcoma research and amplifying awareness as they tell stories of hope throughout the Charlotte region.

The program’s inaugural installation, Seasons of Life, is by Jake Pfeifer of Hot Glass Alley. Presented by TowneBank, this artwork pays homage to the experiences of all those impacted by cancer and expresses gratitude for their healthcare heroes. Seasons of Life is a tree composed of hundreds of exquisite hand-blown and fused glass pieces. Its vibrant seasonal palette of blossoms narrates the artist’s journey through sarcoma diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. It is located in the highest traffic corridor of Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC.
